Quarterly Treasurer’s Report - Spring 2025

Hello LaSalle,

Nothing too exciting to report here. Just want to provide a quarterly financial update. If you were in church last Sunday you heard these numbers then. At the end of the first quarter, LSC giving is $19k behind budget. This is fine. Giving fluctuates a lot throughput the year - sometimes ahead of budget, sometimes behind. We'll need to watch this more closely as the year goes on.

LSC spending is $26k below budget, which is really good news. Unlike giving, we do have some control over spending and after one quarter that is looking really good. You'll also appreciate knowing that year-to-date spending is $68k lower than at the same time last year.

You should also know that the church has unrestricted cash reserves of $349k, which represents 5.5 months of spending. This is a healthy reserve fund.

I really appreciate your steady, faithful giving to this church and its ministries. Many, many small churches like ours are struggling financially. Your present and past generosity has us in a good financial position as we move forward with ministry work at our church and in our neighborhood.
