First Time Visitor Information
We meet each Sunday at 10am, in person and with online options. We serve communion 1st and 3rd Sundays (bread & individual juice cups, along with a gluten free wafer option), and welcome all who follow Jesus to the table.
The Sanctuary lower level houses coffee/snacks, restrooms, the elevator entrance, nursery, and our pre-k classroom (ages 2-5.)
Elementary-aged kids can stay in service, or they can join classes that meet one block to the west in our Cornerstone Center building. Youth (7th - 12th grade) stay in service with their families.
Visit the Welcome Wall, located at the base of the entry stairway, for more information and to turn in a Connect Card to receive a free welcome gift after service.
ACCESSIBILITY IN THE SANCTUARY
We have an elevator you can access from the north side double doors (enter through the side park.) There is designated wheelchair space in the back section of our Sanctuary. Communion can be served to you in your seat. Restrooms in the lower level are accessible.
ACCESSIBILITY IN CORNERSTONE
The Cornerstone Center lobby has automated doors to enter and two elevators to reach kids and youth rooms, gatherings, and our offices. Restrooms are on the first floor and are accessible.
About Sundays
Worship at 10:00AM, in person & online
Our 90 min worship services are multi-denominational, multi-generational & multi-ethnic (majority white), weaving together both historic liturgies and hymns alongside creative readings and Gospel music. We intentionally engage various ways of worshipping, preaching, praying, and gathering as a way to honor the diversity in our congregation and in God’s kin-dom.
You can dress casual, come as you are, and engage however you like. We strive to make room for all, especially those often marginalized or left out of faith communities. You’ll meet graduate students, families of all shapes and sizes, active and retired elders, young professionals, single and married folk, queer and straight folk, those familiar with church and those brand new, Near North locals, commuters from throughout Chicagoland, and our unhoused neighbors - everyone is welcome.
