Deb Maloney

Director of Finance and Operations

Deb has worked in accounting for more than 30 years.  15+ years experience at large insurance companies in a highly regulated industry.  Responsible for preparing, analyzing, and filing financial statements with the Insurance Department.  Worked with regulatory agencies, examiners, and auditors and actuaries to ensure compliance and filing accuracy.  Implemented premium tax systems and other software.   Trained and supervised staff.  Deb has a Finance degree with a concentration in Economics and an MBA with an emphasis in Accounting and Information Systems. 

Where do you live and with who?  I live in a southwest suburb of Chicago.  I am an empty nester but am lucky to have both of my boys and their girls living near me in Chicago.

Favorite Drink?  I am a lifelong lover of Coke but for more than a year have been trying to love water just as much.  Not quite there yet but beer is always a great alternative.  Amber or Red on a special day.

Favorite Ways to Recharge?  Spending time with friends and family,  going to concerts and listening to music, taking a bike ride with a warm breeze, spending time by the water…at the beach, on a boat or at a pool.  Love them all.

What are you enjoying lately about your role at LaSalle? I am finding this transitional time exciting.  It is an opportunity to refresh many aspects of our organizations and envision the possibilities that change can bring.  It’s a challenge to see how many balls we can keep in the air at the same time.  There is never a dull moment at the church office.
