Lent & Spring Adult Formation Series: God Is

Starting on February 18 and through the spring, we'll be exploring expansive, liberating, and beautiful images of who God is—and who God is not—through the lens of Mallory Wyckoff's book  God Is. God Is is an approachable and personal reflection that offers redemption from some of the harmful and unhealthy ways we've been taught to perceive or experience God.

Here's how you can get involved:

  • Read the book with us, one chapter each week

  • Drop in on our DISCUSSION CLASS on Banquet and Belong Sundays, after service in Leslie Hall

  • Whether you've read the book or not, join us to connect with other LaSallers and to explore expansive images of who God is through discussion, sharing, and hands-on activities. This class is open to all!

  • NOTE: This class will not meet on 3/3 (due to Ms. Sharon's party) or Easter Sunday but WILL meet on Palm Sunday.

  • Sign up to lead or participate in a SMALL GROUP on Serve and Sabbath Sundays, starting March 10 online or in-person (5-6 sessions, every two weeks)

  • If you want to go deeper in the study and build relationships with other LaSallers, join a short-term small group—make sure to sign up, since groups will close once they begin meeting

  • Groups will begin meeting March 10 and meet about every two weeks until May 26. Some will meet in-person at the church (around 11:30), and others will meet on Sunday evenings on Zoom

  • We need group facilitators! Let us know if you are willing to help facilitate your group's discussions, with resources Brent will provide

  • Keep an eye on our social media feeds! Each week on Monday, we'll post a new practice or prompt related to that week's theme from the book

Grab a copy of Mallory Wyckoff's God Is wherever you get books; or we have copies available in the lower level for $20. Free and reduced cost books are also available -- contact the church office for more information.
